Artle is the National Gallery of Art's latest Wordle'spin-off' centered on art history. The layout of Artle is similar to Wordle, except that players must identify famous painters based on their artwork. The artist varies every day, and players have four guesses. Players must insert the name of an existing artist into the text box supplied underneath the picture. After the player has typed the name, their guess will be tested to see whether it is accurate or not. If the estimate is wrong, a red 'X' will be shown. A separate piece of art by the same artist will appear to point the player in the proper direction. The Gallery also helps with a few letters in each guess. Now is the time to put your art history knowledge to the test with our new style of crossword game!
