BingoPlus, alongside its affiliate brands ArenaPlus and GameZone, showcased its commitment to promoting a safer and more enjoyable gaming environment for Filipinos at the G2E Asia PH Panel, held on December 10 and 11 at the Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom in Pasay City. This initiative aligns with the organization’s ongoing efforts to advocate for responsible gaming and corporate social responsibility (CSR) within the rapidly evolving digital gaming landscape.
G2E Asia serves as one of the largest international gatherings for gaming platforms and providers, facilitating crucial discussions on commerce and industry trends since its inception in 2007. The Philippines was selected as this year’s host, reflecting its significant growth in the digital gaming sector.
As part of its CSR initiatives, BingoPlus participated in G2E with an exclusive conference track sponsorship, featuring Erick Su, head of ArenaPlus, as a panel speaker discussing “Innovations in Responsible Gaming and CSR” on the second day of the event. This session emphasized the importance of creating a sustainable gaming community through proactive measures rather than mere compliance with regulations.
“We try to promote sustainable gaming; that means we need to be more active rather than just being compliant,” Su stated during the panel discussion. His remarks highlight the organization’s belief that digital gaming should be a source of enjoyment and relaxation for Filipinos, providing an escape from everyday challenges.
BingoPlus, which launched in 2022 as the first interactive, live-streaming digital bingo platform in the Philippines, aims to revolutionize the gaming experience and contribute to a healthier gaming community. The brand, along with ArenaPlus and GameZone, has initiated several campaigns aimed at raising awareness about responsible gaming.
During the panel discussion, Su underscored the role of technology in fostering responsible gaming practices. “We’re developing new technology and applying the best of the industry to try to profile the players through the data; so that we can identify the symptom or signal of the problem in gaming,” he explained. This approach seeks to implement early detection mechanisms aimed at protecting at-risk users and fostering a safe gaming atmosphere.
Su further emphasized that addressing issues in gaming requires an early intervention strategy. “The best way to solve the issues is to identify the problem at an early stage. Then, prevent and interfere,” he added, reiterating the organization’s commitment to a proactive stance on responsible gaming.
The collaboration between BingoPlus and industry leaders, including Nerie Aquino from Tiger Resort Leisure & Entertainment Inc. and Ma. Vina Claudette Oca from Pagcor, signifies a united effort toward promoting responsible gaming standards across the sector. The panel also featured Ryan Hong-Wai Ho, a lecturer at the Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies at Macau Polytechnic University, further enhancing the dialogue around the significance of responsible gaming practices.
As part of its vision, DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the parent company of BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, aims to provide a transparent and community-driven digital entertainment experience. The organization acknowledges that creating a sustainable and enjoyable gaming environment requires continuous innovation and investment in technology to meet the needs of its users.
The broader implication of these efforts extends beyond mere compliance with regulations; it reflects a commitment to fostering a gaming culture that prioritizes player welfare and community engagement. By championing responsible gaming, DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is setting a standard that could influence the landscape of digital gaming in the Philippines and beyond.
