Sony has unveiled the lineup for January 2026’s PlayStation Plus games, providing subscribers access to three diverse titles beginning January 6. This selection includes offerings across racing, platforming, and cooperative survival genres, enhancing the value of the PlayStation Plus service for its members.

Among the highlighted titles is Need for Speed Unbound, a racing game that marked the franchise’s return in late 2022 after a notable hiatus. The game immerses players in an expansive city map, engaging them in street racing events that progress through scheduled qualifiers leading to larger races. Players must navigate police pursuits, managing both damage and “heat” levels while customizing their vehicles. Notably, music artist A$AP Rocky plays a role in the storyline, which chronicles a player’s ascent in the street racing community. This title is exclusively available for PlayStation 5 users, adding an incentive for new console adopters.

Another significant addition is Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, which revisits the beloved platform title originally released on the Wii in 2010. This remake modernizes the experience by replacing motion-based controls with standard controller inputs. Players step into the shoes of Mickey Mouse, exploring environments inspired by Disney’s rich history while solving puzzles and overcoming platform challenges. The game retains the core structure of the original, while game designer Warren Spector contributes his expertise to the updated version. It will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, catering to a broad audience.

The final title in the January lineup is Core Keeper, a game that has transitioned from early access to full release after a successful development period. Set in an underground world, players must gather resources, construct structures, and venture into unexplored areas. While it supports solo play, Core Keeper emphasizes cooperative gameplay, allowing teams of up to eight players to share a world and progress together. This focus on teamwork aims to foster community engagement among players, aligning with current trends in multiplayer gaming.

Subscribers should note that December’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games, which include titles such as Lego Horizon Adventures and Killing Floor 3, remain available for claiming until January 5. This ongoing rotation of games reflects Sony’s commitment to enhancing the PlayStation Plus experience, ensuring that subscribers continue to enjoy a variety of gaming options each month.

As the gaming landscape evolves in 2026, Sony’s January lineup underscores the company’s strategy to cater to diverse gaming preferences while retaining a strong focus on community-driven experiences. With titles like Need for Speed Unbound and Core Keeper, PlayStation Plus subscribers are offered not just entertainment, but also opportunities for social interaction and collaborative gameplay.
