Sonic the Hedgehog and Astromeda Unveil New Gaming PCs: Sonic and Shadow Models

FaZe Clan secures a stunning 3-1 victory over G2 Esports in the grand final of the Intel Extreme Masters, claiming a $1M prize pool.

The long-anticipated collaboration between the iconic video game franchise Sonic the Hedgehog and the gaming PC brand Astromeda has officially been announced, with a release set for mid-February 2026. This partnership introduces a unique lineup of two specially designed collaboration PCs: the Sonic Model and the Shadow Model. Each model offers a range of five customizable configurations, allowing gamers to tailor their systems according to individual performance needs and aesthetic preferences.

The announcement, made via Sonic’s official Twitter account, highlights the stylish and luxurious designs of both models, which feature a pillarless structure aimed at showcasing the internal lighting effects of the PC components. The designs prominently feature illustrations from SONICPICT, printed on the PC casing and side glass, creating a cohesive visual impact that connects the front glass with the side back panel.

Each model caters to different performance requirements. The starting price for the Sonic Model is set at 178,800 yen, while the Shadow Model begins at a slightly higher price point. Both models come with a standard 360mm liquid CPU cooler, capable of housing three 120mm fans and seven RGB case fans, ensuring robust thermal management essential for long gaming sessions. The reinforced side clear glass allows for effortless internal maintenance, with a tool-less structure designed for user convenience.

Performance-wise, options for customization include different CPU configurations, such as AMD Ryzen and Intel Core models, with prices ranging up to 413,829 yen for high-end configurations. This range of choices emphasizes Astromeda’s commitment to delivering high-performance gaming experiences tailored to a wide audience.

In addition to the technical specifications, both models come with limited-time bonuses, including an original desktop wallpaper and a unique startup screen, enhancing the overall user experience for Sonic fans. The shipping period is scheduled for mid-February 2026 for those who place their orders by January 9, 2026, with a flat shipping rate of 3,300 yen across Japan.

This collaboration not only underscores Sonic the Hedgehog’s enduring popularity but also reflects the growing trend of integrating gaming culture with powerful hardware solutions. As gamers continue to seek personalized experiences, collaborations like this one signify a blending of entertainment and technology that could shape future gaming PC offerings. Sonic fans and tech enthusiasts alike will be keenly watching how these PCs perform and resonate within the gaming community.
