WEMADE and Razer Announce 2026 Legend of YMIR World Championship Esports Tournament

Team Secret secures a stunning 3-1 victory over Talon Esports to win the Dota 2 SEA Championships and claim a $50K prize pool.

WEMADE has announced plans to host an international esports tournament for Legend of YMIR in early 2026, marking a significant step in establishing a long-term competitive ecosystem for the MMORPG. This initiative, in partnership with gaming hardware company Razer, aims to elevate the game’s status within the esports community.

The YMIR Cup World Championship is slated to take place from February 28 to March 1, 2026, at Razer’s Southeast Asia headquarters in Singapore. This hybrid event will incorporate both on-site competitions and global livestreams across popular platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Gaming, and Bilibili, allowing fans worldwide to engage with the action in real time.

According to WEMADE, the invite-only championship will feature top-performing clans and servers that have excelled in regional league play. Weekly league matches are set to commence on December 26, 2025, and will wrap up on February 6, 2026, with division champions advancing to the world finals. The tournament format will be distinct from the game’s regular Server Battles and Server Duels, establishing the YMIR Cup as a unique competitive circuit.

WEMADE asserts that the YMIR Cup is designed not merely as a standalone event but as a gauge of Legend of YMIR’s potential as a global esports title. Participants will compete on a dedicated tournament server, and the champion of the tournament will later have the opportunity to face the winner of South Korea’s second YMIR Cup in a special exhibition match.

In line with its commitment to providing a professional environment, Razer will supply its esports-grade peripherals—such as mice, keyboards, and headsets— for all on-site competitors. While no gameplay advantages are anticipated outside of standard performance consistency, the collaboration underscores the event’s emphasis on competitive conditions.

WEMADE has also outlined an impressive in-game reward pool linked to tournament performance. Participants will have the chance to earn in-game currencies, summoning items, and cosmetic gear based on their final standings. The total value of rewards is projected to reach up to $1 million, with certain items being exclusive to the YMIR Cup and featuring special bonus effects.

In a statement, WEMADE expressed that the tournament builds on community engagement fostered through partner servers and previous server-based competitions. The event will culminate in an awards ceremony on March 1, 2026, further solidifying its significance in the MMORPG community and its competitive landscape.

As the gaming industry continues to expand its reach, the YMIR Cup World Championship represents an essential step for WEMADE in establishing Legend of YMIR as a serious contender in the esports arena. This initiative not only aims to enhance competitive play but also seeks to cultivate a vibrant community around the game, setting the stage for future tournaments and player engagement.
