The Asia Pacific Predator League 2026 wrapped up its two-day finals weekend at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in New Delhi, India, where esports teams from 14 regions converged to vie for glory. The event showcased fierce competition in both DOTA 2 and VALORANT, drawing an onsite audience of 4,000 spectators who witnessed the culmination of months-long tournaments.
In the DOTA 2 competition, Malaysia’s Myth Avenue Gaming (MAG) successfully defended their championship title, clinching victory and a prize of USD 65,000 after defeating Rekonix 2-1 in the Grand Final. This scoreline mirrored their performance in the upper final, solidifying MAG’s dominance in the tournament for a second consecutive year. Both Atlantis 2.0 and Interactive Philippines finished as second runners-up. MAG’s offlaner, egxrdemxn, earned the MVP title, which came with a bonus prize of USD 10,000.
On the VALORANT side, the Vietnam-based Fancy United Esports secured the championship by defeating Boom Esports with a clean 2-0 sweep in the Grand Final, showcasing their skill over two closely-contested maps. IAM and Xipto also claimed second runners-up spots after being eliminated by the finalists with a score of 0-2. Fancy United Esports took home the same prize money as the DOTA 2 victors, totaling USD 65,000, while player Twilight was recognized as the most valuable player, claiming an additional USD 10,000.
The event was not only a display of competitive spirit but also a significant milestone for the Predator League, as the 2027 iteration will see Acer Vietnam at the helm. Acer’s selection to host the next event was determined through an internal voting process among the company’s regional offices across the Asia-Pacific area. This marks a notable return to the Southeast Asia sub-region, where the Predator League was previously held in Malaysia for its 2025 edition.
The Asia Pacific Predator League continues to play a vital role in promoting esports across the region, providing a platform for emerging talent and established teams alike. As the esports landscape evolves, events like these not only entertain but also foster community engagement and professional development for aspiring players. With the successful hosting of the 2026 tournament, anticipation builds for what the next edition will bring, particularly with its location set in Vietnam.
