Los Grandes Secures CBLoL Spot for 2026, Assembles Diverse Roster with Two Brazilians, Koreans, and an Argentinean

Los Grandes secures Isurus’s former CBLoL slot for 2026, assembling a diverse roster with two Brazilians, two Koreans, and an Argentinean player.

Los Grandes has been selected to take over the CBLoL slot previously held by Isurus as the Argentinean organization steps away from League of Legends. This decision follows the conclusion of Isurus’s participation, allowing Los Grandes to re-enter Brazil’s premier competition for the upcoming 2026 season. The announcement comes from sources close to Sheep Esports, highlighting the team’s readiness to assemble a competitive roster consisting of two Brazilian players, two Korean players, and an Argentinean player.

The open slot attracted significant interest from various organizations across Latin America, with prominent Brazilian teams such as KaBuM! Ilha das Lendas putting forth strong bids. However, Los Grandes ultimately secured the slot, edging out strong competitors. Other notable contenders included Alpha7 and Farenvehn, alongside Mexico’s Estral Esports, who also aimed to succeed Isurus.

Having been a strong presence in CBLoL during 2023 and 2024, Los Grandes faced challenges when they were not selected for LTA South, South America’s league, following its merger with North America. This setback could have deterred their efforts, yet the organization opted to sustain its League of Legends division through participation in Circuito Desafiante, Brazil’s secondary league. The past year proved to be a mixed one; the team finished 4th in the playoffs and tied for 5th place in both Split 1 and Split 2 of 2025, falling short of the chance for promotion.

As Los Grandes returns to CBLoL in 2026, they will enter with a guest slot rather than a permanent partner slot. This status requires them to defend their position against challengers from both Circuito Desafiante and LRS. The team will rekindle its rivalry with LOUD, with their last official match in CBLoL dating back to Week 6 of Split 2. No player from their 2025 roster is expected to remain, making way for a significant restructuring.

Brazilian players Leandro “Drakehero” Paes and Wallyson “duduhh” Francisco will graduate from Circuito Desafiante, while the team will fill its import slots with Kim “Zest” Dong-min and Jeong “Feisty” Seong-hoon. After stalled negotiations with Pedro “scamber” Lemos Soares, Gabriel “Ackerman” Pereira will be the only player retained from Isurus. The organization has also brought in Ilias “Enatron” Theodorou, who will experience his first venture in Brazil after serving as Head Coach for Ici Japon Corp. Esport.

With the new roster set for 2026, Los Grandes aims to build a competitive team that can make an impact in CBLoL. The mix of Brazilian talent alongside skilled Korean players is expected to enhance their strategy and performance in the league. The upcoming season will not only challenge them to retain their position but also to establish themselves firmly within the Brazilian esports landscape.
