Team Falcons management have publicly denied rumors linking the organization with high-profile Counter-Strike signings, including Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo and Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen. The speculation gained traction on social media and various Telegram channels, with claims suggesting that Falcons were exploring roster changes during the winter break. In response, both chairman Musaed “Msdossary” Al-Dossary and CS operations manager Xavier Roussac took to X (formerly Twitter) to put the reports to rest.
Please don’t believe everything you read.
The rumors are untrue, and we have never had any intention of making changes.
See you in January! https://t.co/0tbmSYFYIt— Xavier Roussac (@Xavier_Roussac) December 23, 2025
The initial wave of speculation linked Falcons with MOUZ rifler Jimpphat, followed by suggestions of interest in Natus Vincere’s in-game leader Aleksib, allegedly as a replacement for Maxim “kyxsan” Kim. One of the main sources of these reports was the Telegram channel Flick News, which has not established a strong track record for CS2 transfer leaks. Falcons management made it clear that none of these claims reflect their current strategy, confirming that their existing five-man lineup will remain intact heading into the new season.
Since forming in 2021, Falcons have fielded over 25 different Counter-Strike players, with roster changes almost becoming an annual occurrence. This history, combined with the organization’s substantial financial backing, has led to a long-running joke among fans that Falcons are always “one star away” from achieving success. Earlier this year, the team claimed its first CS trophy at PGL’s studio event in Bucharest, with players Abdul “degster” Gasanov and Emil “Magisk” Reif still on the roster at that time. Subsequent additions, including Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin, helped shape the current lineup.
Falcons continued their competitive journey by reaching four more finals by the end of the year but fell short of lifting additional trophies, ultimately being eliminated by Team Spirit in the quarter-finals of the StarLadder Budapest Major. Head coach Danny Sørensen had previously stated that the roster would remain unchanged even if the team did not meet expectations at the Major, a commitment that the latest statements from management reinforce.
There have also been rumors suggesting that Sørensen’s contract could expire at the end of 2025. However, no credible sources have substantiated these claims. When Sørensen joined the organization at the end of 2023, Msdossary described the appointment as part of a three-year project, indicating that the coach is still well within that timeline.
Currently, Falcons are drawing a firm line under the transfer talk. Despite external noise and fan speculation, the organization is committed to its current players and staff, aiming to build continuity rather than chase another headline signing. As Roussac reiterated, the focus is on returning in January with the same lineup and a renewed effort for improved results in the upcoming season.
