All 40 teams for the Apex Legends Global Series 2026 Championship (ALGS 2026 Championship), also known as the ALGS Year 5 Championship, have been confirmed as the competition is set to commence in Sapporo, Japan, between January 15 and 18, 2026. Meanwhile, Team Falcons claimed the title at the ALGS 2025 Open, with Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen earning the MVP distinction. The team also achieved third place in the ALGS 2025 Championship, falling behind only to Alliance and GoNext Esports.
Other noteworthy contenders include ROC Esports and Ninjas in Pyjamas, both of which demonstrated strong performances at the ALGS 2025 Midseason Playoffs, placing as runner-up and third, respectively. Wolves Esports and Gen.G Esports also had respectable showings, solidifying their reputations as consistent threats in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
