2026 PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox, and PC Game Release Dates Announced

G2 Esports secures a stunning 3-1 victory over FaZe Clan to win the ESL Pro League Season 18 and take home a $200K prize.

Pathologic 3 marks the first significant video game release of 2026, set to launch on January 9 for PC. The title is part of a lineup that includes a mixture of anticipated sequels and fresh titles, suggesting a promising start to the gaming year. Other notable releases include Code Violet for PlayStation 5 on January 10, and Quarantine Zone: The Last Check and Big Hops for PC on January 12.

As the year unfolds, the gaming community is eagerly looking ahead to several high-profile titles. Among them is a new entry in the iconic Grand Theft Auto series, Grand Theft Auto 6, expected to release on November 19, 2026. However, details surrounding this release remain tentative, and fans are advised to remain cautious as the date approaches.

The upcoming weeks will see a steady stream of new titles. Following the launch of Pathologic 3, players can anticipate Cassette Boy on January 14, alongside Streetdog BMX, which is also set for PC. The next week will introduce several more games, including The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond The Horizon on January 15 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on the same day, reflecting the continuing popularity of both franchises.

The release schedule is expected to fill out rapidly once major console manufacturers, including Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, showcase their upcoming titles. The industry’s attention will likely sharpen during these preview showcases, potentially revealing new projects and updates on existing titles.

As January progresses, several additional games will make their debut. BrokenLore: Unfollow will arrive on January 16, followed by a diverse array of titles such as 2XKO and MIO: Memories In Orbit on January 20, and Sega Football Club Champions on January 22. Players can also look forward to Code Vein 2 on January 30, a sequel that builds on its predecessor’s acclaim.

Additionally, Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch on February 27, with fans eagerly awaiting what Capcom has in store. This release is part of a broader trend, as many developers seem to be capitalizing on nostalgia while also pushing the boundaries of gameplay mechanics and storytelling in their franchises.

Looking ahead, March promises to deliver more excitement with 007 First Light on March 27, followed by Pragmata on April 24 and the PlayStation 5 exclusive Saros on April 30. This momentum culminates in the release of Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight on May 29, ensuring that the first half of the year remains packed with variety.

As the gaming landscape continues to evolve, titles like Grand Theft Auto 6 and the new Resident Evil installment highlight the industry’s dual focus on innovation and heritage. With a robust slate of releases lined up, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for gamers, combining beloved franchises with fresh concepts set to captivate audiences worldwide.
