PlayStation Offers Free Ghost of Yotei PSN Avatars with New Code Release

G2 Esports secures a stunning 3-2 victory over FaZe Clan to clinch the ESL Pro League Season 16 title and a $200K cash prize.

PS5 gamers can now redeem a new set of PSN avatars inspired by Sucker Punch Productions’ recent title, Ghost of Yotei, through a promotional code. This offer provides players with eight exclusive avatars to showcase their enthusiasm for the game on the PlayStation 5 platform. The promotion allows users to express their fandom and enhances their gaming experience.

Released on October 2, 2025, Ghost of Yotei serves as a spiritual successor to the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima. Set approximately 300 years after its predecessor, players assume the role of Atsu, tasked with confronting the Yotei Six, a group of outlaws responsible for her family’s tragic demise. The game has garnered significant attention and positive reviews, successfully selling millions of copies since its launch despite facing some controversies prior to its release. Exclusive to the PS5, the game has positioned itself as one of the year’s standout titles.

As part of the year-end festivities, Sucker Punch has released PSN codes for players across different regions to claim their avatars. Gamers from the Americas can use the code 8GGE-5H6P-QMTC, while regions such as Europe/Australia, Asia, Korea, and Japan have their respective codes: QEH9-3Q25-5QMB, BD8B-8C53-6CND, 6HP7-NHQ2-FJED, and DMH5-XBJD-KXCQ. Each avatar features characters from the game, highlighting the imaginative design and thematic elements of the world Sucker Punch has created.

This is not the first time avatars related to Ghost of Yotei have been released. Players who pre-ordered any version of the game received a set of seven avatars, which included Atsu and the Yotei Six. However, the latest batch is freely available to all PS5 users, thus allowing those who may have missed the pre-order opportunity to participate in this promotional event. To claim the avatars, players need to navigate to the PlayStation Store and enter their respective region’s code.

The introduction of these new avatars adds to an already extensive collection available for PS5 users, which includes both immediately accessible options and those requiring redemption codes. Sony has a history of providing themed avatars, including a series released in August to commemorate 15 years of PS Plus. This collection featured avatars inspired by popular titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarok, and Hogwarts Legacy.

In addition to the avatar promotion, PlayStation has enriched its PS Plus service by adding nine new games to its Extra and Premium tiers. While Ghost of Yotei is not part of the subscription lineup, December has seen an influx of titles such as Planet Coaster 2 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, providing gamers with a diverse selection for their holiday gaming sessions. The Essential tier has also expanded, introducing titles like Killing Floor 3 and Neon White.

Moreover, the PlayStation Store typically features an end-of-year sale, which might prompt discounts on select titles. While Ghost of Yotei may be too recent for markdowns, its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima, could see price reductions on the digital storefront. Additionally, the Director’s Cut of the acclaimed 2020 title is currently available at a 40% discount on Steam as part of their annual Winter Sale, which runs until January 5, 2026.

As the gaming community wraps up the year, the promotion of free PSN avatars offers a unique opportunity for players to further engage with Ghost of Yotei. With the game’s success and the continued support from Sucker Punch Productions, fans can expect ongoing content and community engagement in the months ahead, enriching the landscape of PS5 gaming.
